Billed as the “world’s fastest half-mile,” NASCAR racing at Bristol Motor Speedway has been likened to flying fighter jets in a gymnasium. Now you can experience the thrills of short track racing at the 2019 Bristol Food City 500.

The high banked oval track at Bristol leads to intense racing excitement and cars swapping paint. Plus you’ll enjoy exceptional covered seating in the Allison Terrace. Located along the front stretch, your terrace level seating is elevated to provide the best views and reduced noise level. You’ll also enjoy elevator access, private concessions and restrooms, stadium style seats with seat-backs and cup-holders. The Allison Terrace also provides the best views of the pit areas.

Bristol Motor Speedway

Bristol Motor Speedway is a NASCAR short track located in Bristol, Tennessee. Constructed in 1960, it held its first NASCAR race on July 30, 1961. Despite its short length, Bristol is among the most popular tracks on the NASCAR schedule because of its distinct features, which include extraordinarily steep banking, an all-concrete surface, two pit roads, and staum-like seating. It has also been named one of the loudest NASCAR tracks.

Bristol Motor Speedway is the 4th largest sports venue in America and the 8th largest in the world, housing up to 165,000 people. The track is so short that speeds are far lower than is typical on most NASCAR oval tracks, but they are very fast compared to other short tracks due to the high banking. These features make for a considerable amount of “paint swapping” where the initial starting grid of 43 vehicles in the Cup Series extends almost halfway around the track, meaning that the slower-qualifying cars begin the race almost half a lap down.
