For the first time in 25 years, the University of Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will host a concert when the number one selling solo artist in United States history, Garth Brooks, visits “The Swamp.”

Brooks is coming to Gainesville as part of his Stadium Tour that will include 30 stops over the course of three years. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium last hosted a concert on Nov. 27, 1994 when the Rolling Stones landed in Gainesville with their Voodoo Lounge Tour. Brooks is the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, having been awarded this honor six times, a first for any artist. He is also the first artist in history to receive 7 Diamond awards for the now seven albums certified by the RIAA at over 10 million album sales each and he has sold more than 148 million albums. He has received every accolade the recording industry can bestow on an artist, including induction into the International Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Country Music Hall of Fame and most recently, the Musicians Hall of Fame. Brooks has also won two Grammy Awards among 14 nominations.
