Named after Gen. Robert Reese Neyland, the head football coach fro 1926 to 1952, the Neyland Stadium is the fifth-largest stadium in the country. In 2006 the stadium started a multi-phase renovation which included improving the team locker room, adding elevators and stairwells on the west side, improvements to the west tower sky boxes, broadcast center and press box. There was a new entrance plaza introduced at Gate 21, new restrooms, infrastructure work, the addition of the largest LED display in college football, and more. The different phases of renovation were all individually funded for fiscal responsibility.
Those who are interested in touring the stadium can schedule an appointment Monday through Thursday.
