American rock band Foo Fighters is back on tour in 2026. In 1994, the band formed in Seattle, WA originating with former Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl – who was later joined by Nate Mendel on bass, Pat Smear and Chris Shiflett on guitar, Rami Jafee on keyboard and Ilan Ruban as the original drummer. in years to follow, Franz Stahl played guitar and William Goldsmith, Taylor Hawkins and Josh Freese all played drums.
The band has won 15 Grammy Awards and is known as the most successful rock acts in Grammy history after receiving Best Rock Album 5 times. In 2021, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022 led to two tribute concerts in London and Los Angeles, allowing fans and band mates to respectfully honor the musician. Taylor’s teenage son played drums for the band at their tribute concert in London.
Although the line-up has changed over the years, the band continues to make music and hit the stage performing, alongside former touring drummer from Nine Inch Nails – Ilan Rubin.
