Well-known, deeply admired country music artist Garth Brooks, is headed to Tennessee as part of his Stadium Tour that will include 30 stops over the course of three years. Neyland Stadium in Knoxville – named after General Robert R. Neyland – is an iconic football stadium but Garth Brooks will be the first concert there in 16 years. Brooks is the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, having been awarded this honor six times, a first for any artist. He is also the first artist in history to receive 7 Diamond awards for the now seven albums certified by the RIAA at over 10 million album sales each and he has sold more than 148 million albums. He has received every accolade the recording industry can bestow on an artist, including induction into the International Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Country Music Hall of Fame and most recently, the Musicians Hall of Fame. Brooks has also won two Grammy Awards among 14 nominations.

Now here’s your chance to catch the wildly popular entertainer, famous for Billboard-topping songs like “Friends in Low Places,” “Two Pina Coladas” and “If Tomorrow Never Comes.” Each of the stadium shows will be staged “in the round.” Seating for the event at Neyland Stadium will be located in the lower bowl.

Neyland Stadium

Named after Gen. Robert Reese Neyland, the head football coach fro 1926 to 1952, the Neyland Stadium is the fifth-largest stadium in the country. In 2006 the stadium started a multi-phase renovation which included improving the team locker room, adding elevators and stairwells on the west side, improvements to the west tower sky boxes, broadcast center and press box. There was a new entrance plaza introduced at Gate 21, new restrooms, infrastructure work, the addition of the largest LED display in college football, and more. The different phases of renovation were all individually funded for fiscal responsibility. Stadium capacity is 102,455. Those who are interested in touring the stadium can schedule an appointment Monday through Thursday.
