Orlando City Soccer Club kicks off its inaugural MLS season in 2015 and you can be part of the excitement with this special Major League Soccer experience in sunny Orlando, FL. It’s all part of an entertaining three-night getaway at beautiful Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa where you’ll enjoy spacious 1-bedroom villa accommodations.

While the Orlando City Lions await the construction of an all new soccer stadium in downtown Orlando, the club will host its first season in the newly renovated Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium. The stadium was almost entirely rebuilt to create an exciting, modern facility with an enhanced fan experience.

Orlando City was formed in 2010 and quickly developed into a USL PRO soccer power with a passionate fan base. That success was rewarded with an MLS franchise that’s ready to take on the best of the MLS, led by Brazilian superstar, Kaka. Meanwhile, the defending 2014 champion LA Galaxy, look to build on an impressive history that includes 9 championship match appearances and previous MLS Cup Championships in 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2012.

This special MLS getaway includes Florida’s exceptional spring weather, not to mention event staples such as a fun-filled VIP welcome party with dinner, open bar, an entertaining DJ and prizes.

Citrus Bowl Stadium

In 2014, Orlando’s Citrus Bowl Stadium was rebuilt into a state-of-the-art venue capable of hosting world-class events. About 90% of the stadium was torn down and replaced between January 29 and November 19, including portions that have stood since its original construction in 1937. Only the upper decks, which were added in 1990 and remain viable as part of a modern facility, remained.

The new Citrus Bowl offers an enhanced fan experience at every level, with wider, chair-back seating, new concessions areas and restrooms, and new club and premium spaces throughout the building.
